Blue River Hybrids is pleased to introduce a promising new seed coating. We think this seed coating will give the organic farmer an advantage in a number of ways.
X-Cell ST is a carbon based acid derived from naturally occurring materials and contains humic, fulvic, and ulmic acids. Reported benefits of these acids include improved nutrient extraction by plants, better root development and reduced stress.
Blue River Hybrids tests compared uncoated seed corn with seed corn coated with X-Cell ST. In cold tests, seed coated with X-Cell ST had a greater percentage of germination.
X-Cell ST has been reviewed and approved by the following entities:
• OCIA, certifier for Blue River Hybrids-compliant with NOP organic rules
• Washington State Dept of Ag-compliant with NOP organic rules
• Approval pending on EU rules
NOTE: X-Cell ST is not compliant with JAS rules and should not be used on seed planted on land intended for future crops needing JAS certification.
